Real Techniques -Miracle Complexion Sponge

After my Beauty Blender I didn’t want to pay 20 bucks again for a new makeup sponge so I had to try the second best or maybe better? miracle sponge, I couldn’t wait to try so I have been testing it for a full month now.

For one single sponge It retails for 9.99€ you can buy them in sets of 2 or 4. But I first wanted to try just one out before buying more. I just got brushes from Real Techniques before and the quality is stunning so I really wanted to try their sponges, I did a review on there Sculpting Set so you can see more RT.

The sponge comes like this very small and dry, soft but not bouncy. In this state it’s difficult to apply foundation but you can pick up powder and bake your face, this is a perfect way to use a dry makeup sponge. If you wet the sponge under the sink you will noticed that it will bubble up like there’s already soap inside, wash this out and it ready to use. With the BeautyBlender I didn’t do that, I don’t exactly know why maybe to cleans it before using it on your skin.

These sponges are meant to be used dampened it gets bigger and bouncer than before. Most of you know this already. But the miracle sponge gives no strokes as some brushes can leave your foundation not perfectly blended.

The top is designed to conceal and blend smaller area’s such under eyes, higher face pigmentation or your noise. Blend your foundation with the middle part to get a perfect dewy look, evenly distributed. You have the slices side for contouring.

Beauty Blender or Real techniques?

I love them both, I see no big different between these two sponges just the price does it allot for me. I think the Real techniques changes my mind, will definitely be repurchasing the miracle sponge because I love the quality and price. Sadly the Beauty Blender is top-notch but I can’t give that money to a sponge again.

I love reading your comments! What’s your favorite sponge?
